Daily
Far far away, above the mountains, far from the countries, they live in the place. God has not rejected his people and has not abandoned them. God is, above all, just and righteous.
Every Christian person has many responsibilities, but three truly stand out.
1. Control Our Thoughts
The human mind is incredibly powerful, attracting what it focuses on. By concentrating on our blessings, we invite more blessings into our lives. Conversely, if we dwell on what seems wrong, we attract more negativity. Since our focus shapes our reality, it’s crucial to control our thoughts. Proverbs 23:7 states, “As a man thinks, so is he.”
2. Believe
Jesus taught that belief is the key to unlocking possibilities: “All things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23). Jesus fulfilled His part on the cross, granting us abundant life. Our role is to believe—believe that He is God, that He is faithful to His Word, and that He will fulfill His promises. We are called to be believers, not achievers, trusting God to handle what we cannot. As 1 Peter 5:7 encourages, “Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
3. Be a Blessing
Being a Christian means serving and blessing others. When we do so, we are serving and blessing Jesus. In Matthew 25:40, Jesus says, “Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these, you have done it unto me.” There’s immense joy in being a blessing to others, and in turn, we are blessed. Luke 6:38 promises, “Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you give, it shall be measured to you again.”
We should work diligently so we can help those in need. Ephesians 4:28 advises, “Work with your hands, that you may have something to give to him who has need.” Furthermore, 1 Thessalonians 4 encourages us to “Increase more and more, aspire to lead a quiet life, mind your own business, work with your own hands, walk properly toward those who are outside, and lack nothing.”
While Christians have many responsibilities, these three are essential for living the abundant life that God desires for each of us: controlling our thoughts, believing in God’s promises, and being a blessing to others.
